1) Make a new document and set the dimensions 400px by 400px width ad height.

2) Go to Layer/Transparency/Add Alpha Channel

3) Now select your Ellipse Select Tool and fill in that whole circle with the color black.

This is what your image should look like so far.


4) Make a new layer and do the same thing as above, but except fill in the color with blue instead of black.

5) Make a new layer and do the same thing as above, but except fill in the color with white instead of blue.

6) Make a new layer and do the same thing as above, but except fill in the color with red instead of white.

7) Click on the red circle layer to activate that layer. Now select your Rectangle Select Tool and start at the bottom and go up 266px height and make the width 400px now click delete to remove the extra section we don't need.

This is what your image should look like so far.


8) Click on the white circle layer to activate that layer. Make sure you still have your Rectangle Select Tool selected. Now click on the rectangle next to your layers on gimp, and click on the 2 colored squares to change your mode to "Add To Current Section".

9) Ok the top part of your document go down 133px height 400px width and click delete.

10) On the save layer apply the same technique as above, but except deleting the section on top were going to do it on bottom.

This is what your image should look like so far.


11) Click on the blue circle layer to activate that layer. Make sure you still have your Rectangle Select Tool selected and start at the top and go down 266px height and make the width 400px now click delete to remove the extra section we don't need.

12) On that blue circle layer, go to Filters/Blur/Gaussian Blur. Now set Horizontal and Vertical to 86px. Blur Method must be RLE. Now click ok.

13) Apply the same technique above to the white and red circle layers.

14) Merge the red and white circle layers to the blue layer.

15) Rick click on the black circle layer and click on "Add To Selection".

16) Copy your 2nd layer (CTRL+C) (It should be the somewhat pepsi logo right now)

17) To remove the selection. Expand your document and with the rectangular select tool just click outside your image (the black background)

18) Click on your 2nd layer (It should be the somewhat pepsi logo right now) and click delete on your keyboard.

19) Now go back to the black circle layer. Right click and click on "Add To Selection".

20) Now paste the copied pepsi image onto your 2nd layer, and merge it down to the black circle layer.

NOTE: Make sure the selection is still active.

21) Now all you haft to do is save your image. File/Save As/Pepsi.png/Save

Your Final Image should look something like this.


TIP: If you want to be more creative you can use the Pepsi Font for your Pepsi Logo.

NOTE: You'll make it look more like the pepsi logo if you use your pen/paths tool instead.
